It was named after Mrs. Isabel Pastorfide. According to the bore hunters of 18th century it was called “puntod”. My father told me that it was called Puntod because during the early times, lot of people was buried on the place for the lack of cemetery that time. The place was little elevated and it is surrounded by water.
GEOGRAPHICAL AND RESOURCE ENDOWNMENT
The barangay is 1,244.0792 Hectares. It is located 5 km away from Municipality of Pinamalayan. On its West is Lumambayan, North is Buli, South is Brgy. Biga, Pola and East is Cacawan.
Barangay Sta. Isabel has a total population of 2,593, with 1,303 males and 1,290 females according to CBMS Census 2014 with the total household 570. With the total registered voters almost 1,694.
